Marriage
Give the parish office six months' notice. Both parties attend the archdiocesan marriage preparation course before the date is fixed.
All seven sacraments- What is it?
- A man and a woman give themselves to one another for life before God, and the Church witnesses and blesses their consent.
- Who is it for?
- Couples where at least one party is a Catholic of this parish. [The office will tell you what applies when one party is not Catholic.]
- When is it celebrated?
- By arrangement with the parish office, once the preparation is complete and the banns have been read.
- How far in advance?
- Six months, so there is time for the course, the papers and the banns.
- Preparation
- Both parties attend the archdiocesan marriage preparation course before the date is fixed. The banns are then read in the parishes of both parties.
- Who should I contact?
- The parish office, during office hours.
- What happens next?
- A priest meets you both, the papers are prepared, the banns are read, and the date and the church are settled.
- Documents to bring

- A recent baptism certificate for each Catholic party, issued within the last six months
- The confirmation certificate
- The certificate from the marriage preparation course
