Our patronal feast

The thirteenth of October.

The day our church keeps its own feast, and the whole parish comes out into the streets of Vidyavihar behind Our Lady.

This year

Tuesday 13 October 2026

The Masses on the feast do not follow the usual times. The programme for the day, and for the novena before it, is published in the BLEST Member app.

The days of the feast

The novena

4 to 12 October, each evening

Nine evenings before the feast, the parish prays the novena to Our Lady of Fatima. The church fills on these evenings, and many who cannot come through the year come for the novena.

The feast Mass

13 October

The parish keeps the day as a solemnity, with the church dressed and the statue of Our Lady crowned with flowers.

The procession

After the feast Mass

Our Lady is carried through the streets around the church, with the children before her, and the parish follows and prays the Rosary as it goes.

The consecration

On the feast itself

The parish is consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as Our Lady asked at Fatima in 1917.

Why this parish keeps her feast

Everyone is welcome

Come for the feast.

You do not need to belong to the parish, or to be Catholic, to walk in the procession or to sit in the church on the thirteenth. Come, and bring whoever is with you.
